A stormy day on Thursday may add more rain to Wichita Falls' total. The National Weather Service said North Texas has a chance of thunderstorms Thursday afternoon into Friday morning. Some of the storms may become severe. The Storm Prediction Center has placed Wichita Falls and a large portion of North Texas at Slight Risk for severe storms. Once the system moves through, North Texas may be at risk of wildfires on Friday. Rain from those storms could add to a precipitation level so far in 2023 that surpasses the average.
